In addition, educational institutions and
training providers will be on hand to meet with people who are
considering new careers that require additional training.
Here are the companies and that have
registered so far: (Check back in the coming days for more!)
At its booth each company will post the positions it is seeking to fill.
The
recruiters will explain the type of skills the firm is looking for in potential job
candidates and answer questions about the company and the jobs they are seeking
to fill.
RESUMES
Some employers will be ready to accept resumes from individuals who meet their needs.
Other companies require job seekers to apply online at their web sites.
In this case, it is still worthwhile to meet the recruiters and learn
about the positions before submitting an application.
If you are not able to attend the job
fair, there is no way for ABLE to pass your resume to employers.
ARRIVE EARLY
In
2006 more than 2,000 job seekers attended the "Ability is Ageless" Job Fair. Because so many people are expected, job seekers should plan on arriving early
to avoid the crowd. The doors open at 9 a.m., but we suggest
arriving well ahead of that time. Please plan to wait in line.
Those who arrive late in the morning should expect to wait longer in
line, and there might not be enough time to get into the exhibit area by
the end of fair at 1 p.m.
PARKING
Because of the anticipated crowds, it may be difficult to find
parking. The hotel parking lot is located on the north
side of the hotel. Additional parking is available nearby in the
Northland shopping center. Do not to park in the HAP parking lot or in
the fire lanes.
RESERVATIONS
Reservation
are not required.
IT'S FREE!
