“The fair
attracts hundreds of older workers who have a tremendous amount of
talent and work experience to offer to employers,” said Mary
McDougall, president of Operation ABLE, the organizer of the event.
“Employers see
this unique event as an opportunity to tap into the mature labor
pool to meet their needs for dependable workers with a very strong
work ethic,” noted McDougall.
“Exhibitors
have told us repeatedly that this is one of the best fairs
available, and are impressed with the quantity, quality, and
diversity of the candidates they meet,” she added.
“Many of the
people who will be attending the fair are considering a new career
or need to update their job skills for today's job market,” said
McDougall “With this in mind, educational institutions such as
community colleges and universities are also exhibiting and taking
advantage of this opportunity to meet potential students.”
